Final countdown

It's almost time! I must say that is past week of waiting has been a killer! I have gone through so many emotions. I am very scared but I also can't wait to get my life back. The more pain, no more bleeding! No more planning vacations, meetings, family events around my "time" on the month. No more feeling out of control. I am going to win this battle & take control of my life again. I want to thank all my sisters out there! This web-site has been a god send. I have spent many nights (and days at work) reading. At one point I was spending so much time on line my DH thought I had a boyfriend on line! (That's a BIG LOL!) Anyway, thank you everyone & please pray for me on Monday!

Good Luck- You sound the way I felt b4 my surgery. I was tired of the pain. I dont regret having it done a bit. I feel so much better.

Will be praying for you on Monday. Believe me, I know how you feel. I still have two weeks to go before my crowning and I am scared to death. I know exactly what you mean about the waiting! I got my appt. date 3 weeks before surgery, too much time for my brain to think, and worry and be scared. My TAH was on Oct. 15. Recovery is slow and frustating due to the length of it. But I am like you Im gonna get my life back!! 4 or 5 good days a month is not what I call living, but Im on my way to the new me!!! it alright girl. i understand i am very scared myself my tah/bso/appendectomy is the day after yours on the 19th so i truely understand. you will be in my prayers and please let me know how it goes and i will do the same. i will be cheering for you on this side.

Well, just think, only a few days and you will be on the "better side"! I am sure that our quality of life will be so much better as the other sisters have shared with us! Some pain and discomfort is worth it if it means life will be so much better. I empathize with you on the scheduling. Mine is so heavy and the worst always comes at the most inopertune times! I can't go anywhere, I :cry:, I feel so out of control. And, I feel so cheated sometimes. My girlfriend who used to work with me had a very light flow and she couldn't understand how I was always RUNNING to the bathroom at work. Well, I am a waitress, and if you are in the middle of taking an order and you feel that trickle what can u do? You live your life in a panic. You are regaining control of your life!
