Movement of internal organs?

Day 3 post op LSH - does anyone else feel your internal organs are "shifting". When laying down and turn on my side, I swear I feel something move - feels like a water balloon shifting. It's located under my ribcage, sometimes a twinge of pain to go with it. What the heck is that?

Same here. I told my kids it felt just like when you drink alot of water and can feel it jiggling around. The belly band helped!

Re: Movement of internal organs?

Exactly what I feel - weird is right! I does feel like you drand a lot of water and it is shifting around. I have a one week check up with my surgeon next week and will ask him what that's all about.

Re: Movement of internal organs?

Me too- I keep telling myself it is all the extra room I have now that all those large fibroids and enlarged uterus are gone. After three weeks it is much better so I think things are settling into place or whatever.

Re: Movement of internal organs?

Thanks for the reassurance Tuningmyheart - I know I am really early in my recovery, but it helps to ease the issues that are a bit unnerving!

Re: Movement of internal organs?

I felt the same movement during the first three weeks. I'm 7 weeks PO and from time to time I still feel something moving in there.

Re: Movement of internal organs?

me to me to, I was just telling my hubby about that last night. I still cant just get right out of bed in the morning I have to do it in stages, roll on to side, throw blankets away, sit up, wait a few seconds while my guts slide down due to gravity, then I can actually stand up, wait a few seconds again before I actually take a step. I am 6 weeks post op. It is the weirdest thing
