5 days post op - pain/swelling

Sorry if this has been answered before, i couldn't find anything pertaining to my exact situation.

I had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy but retained one ovary on Thursday 1/09 and was sent home on Friday 1/10, about 24 hrs after. I felt surprisingly good for the first 3 days but starting yesterday the pain has slowly increased until today when i was hit with a sudden wall of pain and a sudden swelling in my upper abdomen that i hadn't had before this afternoon. Its not excessively hot or red, just more swollen than ever (i hadn't noticed swelling before today).

Anybody experience this? Should i be concerned?

I can't say I had the same exact experience but I did have more swelling & pain the few days of surgery. I had to take pain medications round the clock during that time .It may not be anything to worry about but it is always best to err on the side of caution. I think you should call your doctor. That's what doctors are there for. Bless you .
