Aargh. GP forgot...

My GP forgot to tell me that before he would release me for surgery I would need to have a complete physical. My GYN called and said that they were unable to reach my GP and didn't have a release from him yet and that I should call. I call and after waiting 20 minutes on the phone, they tell me he wants me to have a pyhysical first. By the way, I have been in his office a few times in the last month insuring that my diabetes is completely in control for surgery. Gee, between the GYN and him I have been in a dr's office at least once a week for the last 2 months. My question is, will having my "complete physical" tomorrow afternoon going to keep me from having my surgery on Thursday?? I don't know what to think.

Tell them they need to put a "RUSH" on any labwork they order and then CALL THEM BACK to make sure they are on the ball. Then call your GYN and MAKE SURE they have everything they need to proceed. Have your GYN coordinate with you GP to make sure everything is done in time.
