30 yr newbie w/ adeno - Have question about tummy tuck

Hi, Stevlovr-

How did I get used to the pregnancy look? I am soooo not used to it...It drives me crazy I'm usually a size 4 or 6, can usually wear whatever I want, and right now, practically none of my clothes fit...

I'll let you know how it goes post-op...21 days to go, but who's counting? Me, that's who!!!

P.S. 2 days ago, in the grocery store, someone asked me when the baby was due!!!! I took a deep breath, to keep me from maiming them, and replied "I'm not pregnant. Why do you feel you have the right to ask? And it's insensitive to make assumptions. Would you ask someone who is obviously heavy about their weight?" The only reply was "Sorry, Ma'am."

30 yr newbie w/ adeno - Have question about tummy tuck

stevlovr,
I had a TT w/ my hyster 7/31/06. I had a 5 month size belly from multible fibroids. I also had a C/Sec for twins 23 yrs ago and my boys were 14 lbs total! I am a little person. 127 lbs and 5'4". Needless to say my belly was a mess.

What would you like to know?
If you are considering a TT, getting a consultation from a plastic surgeon would be a good start. The PS will help you understand if you need one or not. It was pretty obvious I need one so. . . .
It takes a lot of coordination between doctors and schedules if you do the two surgeries together. I asked my GYN for a good PS. I got the best in my area. Wonderful doctor. It took 4 months to schedule! Anyway, they did a beautiful job together. The PS opened and closed. It was 5 hrs total.
If you had two kids already you may be okay afterwards w/o a TT.
A TT is major surgery. The PS did a muscle repair on me which is called a Full TT ,and then there is a partial TT which is a lot less invasive. You may only need a partial.

Good luck.

Hope that helps. Oh by the way, am I happy I did it??? Y-E-S !!!! For the first time in 23 yrs I have a flat beautiful stomach. Yippee! :
