Lupron Hysterectomy and Obesity

I did 6 months on Lupron for fibroids and tolerated the medication okay (minor aches, sleep issues but nothing bad enough to make me think about stopping). Before Lupron my fibroids were causing severe pain 24/7, constipation, trouble urinating, bloating, gas and heavy bleeding and huge clots. For 6 months (while on Lupron) I had NONE of those issues.

But after 6 months I had to come off Lupron and within a month, the symptoms were all back. I'm 48.5 yrs old and weigh 360 lbs. My doctor will not do a hysterectomy due to my weight and I've had a second opinion. So we went to my insurance and am waiting for the Lurpon to arrive to begin the 6 months all over again. My doc has said we'll probably have to do 6 months, try going off again, wait for the symptoms to return, ask for another 6 months on Lupron and repeat until I hit menopause UNLESS I lose weight.

One of the worst side effects for Lupron for me is the bone aches I get in my thigh bones. So going on Lupron will make those bones hurt and cut into my ability to exercise and lose the weight I need to get the hysterectomy. What a vicious cycle.

What else can I do? What other treatment options are there?
