5 days post hysterectomy: Left Leg hurts, goes to sleep.

I have noticed that if I lay on my left side for a long period of time that my left leg starts to hurt and go numb or go to sleep. If I roll over to my back or right side then it feels fine again. Is it possible that there is a nerve cut or something? It kinda stinks cuz I can't stay on my left side for long.

Re: Left Leg hurts, goes to sleep.

It might be temporary, from inflammed tissues pressing against a nerve. I think if it were a severed nerve, your position wouldn't matter.

Re: Left Leg hurts, goes to sleep.

About a week after my surgery, my right leg was numb. I was on my way to lunch with my mom and when I stepped out of the car, I noticed it. Scared the hell out of me but I contacted my doctor and he asked a few questions then said it was from the surgery...temporary nerve damage.
