Home from the castle-woke up drenched with night sweats

My time at the castle was totally awesome-was more like hospital hilton. After passing gas and a bowel movement the 3rd day, I was released. Earlier in the day I was moved from the happy button to medication and once home I took some and went to bed around 11 and woke up around 1am-drenched with sweat. I have a patch on. Wonder if this is normal? Is it my body adjusting?

hello songbird!

hey! we had the same surgery for the same reason and 2mths apart to the date! And the same med!

I was in hospital for 3 nights and when I first went home, I was also drenched in sweat in the middle of the night - nature's call at 1am, 4am, 6am.... it's winter here, and I thought I had the heater on too high!! Didn't even occur to me it was nightsweat caused by sudden menopause! haha

I wasn't put Progynova until I saw my Gyn-onc for my 1wk post-op visit. and the problem subsided after a few days. Wasn't on any hormonal patch though. Just started the 3ed slide of the HRT, and has been experiencing breast tenderness - esp when I get up in the morning/about to go to sleep - and have only just clicked that it's often end /start of month (maybe that's related to menstrual cycle? might post my own thread on that one...)

Take care sister!

Ahhhh-the middle of the night visits every 2 hours -that is what kept me up too. At least I slept hard inbetween them. It is hot here and my husband turned up the air and I asked him if I felt hot. I need to find that thermometer I guess.

Today I don't feel so hot, temperature wise. I decided not to take the darvecet during the day-but just the motrin for pain and so my mind is a little more clear. As for the patch I will have to ask my OB-GYN on the 14th when I see her about them and see if some adjustments need to me made-going to document all my symptoms for her for that visit.

Meanwhile my family is doing a fantastic job of pampering me and taking care of everything.

Thanks for the hugs

I forgot to mention I also measured my body temp 2-3 times daily for the 1st week... I thought I was getting a fever!

It's great to be pampered! enjoy it while you can and speedy recovery to you!
