6 weeks post op and finally ah hem...but it hurt

it has been a while since my last post since i have been busy trying to get back to normal.
but..last night my DH and I tried and did..you know...and it was enjoyable but a bit unconfortable at 1st....today i have spotting and pain..i also STILL have a uti which i have had for 6 weeks...so I am sure that helps the situation...I am on Cipro now hope it helps...
Anyway..has anyone else had this too...maybe 6 weeks is too soon...tell my DH that!!!

I'm sure my husband will be glad when I get the all clear from my doctor, but he is a very good husband and patient, he'll probably want to wait longer than I will.

I'l be scared the first time.

I am 7 and half weeks postop and it is still uncomfortable for me. We try different positions and use ky. It is getting better I think? I still have not had the big"O". We have had X about 4 times since my release at 4 weeks. My DH is very understanding, but it frustrates me more that anything. Will I ever be pain free down there? I had an infection at 3 weeks and so my dr says I am not healing as fast as normal TVH.
All we can hope for is to get better! I feel better otherwise...

I had a TAH on 7/3/07 and waited almost 7 weeks. I was nervous, too; but it all still works and wasn't painful for me. YAY!

Six weeks just doesn't seem like enough time for healing to me, no matter what the doctor says. I plan to wait eight, and just be creative with DH in the meantime.

I'm with ya Melani. The first time we tried it was 6 weeks and it was very painful. I bled and it hurt for days, it even hurt to walk. I also had just gotten over an infection, uti and then it was kidney infection. Two rounds of antibiotics to get it out of me. So after the ouchie sex I waited 3 more weeks and it was great. We still take it slow and gentle. I even have multiple. Woo hoo! Which makes me very happy because I wasn't sure how it was going to be after all the parts were taken out :-)!!!!!

Have fun being creative!
