Re: Which products did you use to help heal from surgery?
All wonderful suggestions! I currently eat activia yogurt as it is so that's a good thing. I have a few questions though...
I have ibs (irritable bowel syndrome) so should I still worry about stool softeners?
I also have multiple sclerosis (still newly diagnosed 6 months ago) and have meds to take for that and problems unique to that... I am wondering how that may effect me. I have to give myself a shot every day, so I will continue to do that... but not on stomach but what about hips/lower love handles? Will I be able to turn/twist my torso?
I have imbalance already from the MS so I should probably keep my cane nearby. As for a pillow.. I have it listed to bring one for my side/stomach.. but I never use a pillow under my head when I sleep unless I am on my side and then a very flat one. Dues to memory problems (ms) I always keep a pen and pad of paper with me so that's going to stay the same.. also have my sidekick phone for reminders etc.
Oh a list of current meds! And, the meds themselves, I don't want to chance the hospital not having them.. especially my injections since they are unique to ms. I like the idea of baby wash towelette things, I hate the idea of being dirty.
Oh also, purell hand sanitizer and I think some nail polish for my toes to help me feel prettyish! A brush too! Dental floss (I am neurotic about flossing my teeth). Oh my list is growing...
How long should I expect my hospital stay to last? I am having a TAH? All but ovaries (I hope).. gee there is so much to learn. Doc say 3-5 days at hospital.. does that sound correct?
Oh also my nintendo DS.. love that thing, I have all sorts of games and such, a great way to pass the time!
