Impatiently waiting my turn

I am finally supposed to get my call from the surgery scheduler tomorrow...and I can hardly wait, lol. I am SO ready to do this.

I teach preschool for a living, so I realllllly need to have my surgery done during the summer, so I can recover and be ready to go back to school and pick up kids, run around on the playground, etc.

I saw my OB/GYN at the end of May, met with the urologist a week ago, but then the urologist has been out of town, so the two doctors couldn't communicate to coordinate their schedules.

FINALLY tomorrow, I am supposed to hear from them, and get my surgery date. (Please, please, please let it be soon.)

(Oh...I will be having a LAVH and bladder sling placed.)

Re: Impatiently waiting my turn

I am a teacher, and yes, the summer is the best time to do this. I had an abdominal hyst on June 1, and I am so thankful that I have more than 6 weeks to get back to normal before being forced back to work. Hope your surgery is very soon. If you mention that you are a teacher, perhaps they can push you in. That's what they did for me.

Re: Impatiently waiting my turn

i run a licensed preschool program and summer school age program out of my home. i also care for my 9 month old grandchild while my daughter works. I am so worried that opening back up after just 2 weeks post op is going to be too much for me. i only have 1 helper (some of the time) and there is up to 8 kids this summer. Any advice?
