Very weird Period....

Not that any of this will matter in a week or two but I have a question for all ya' sisters...

I started my peroid yesterday, my surgery is next Monday the 17th. My periods use to be heavy, thick, clotty and amost black. Now they are bright red, and somewhat transparent, with weird little clots. It also seems that my period burns my skin. I don't use tampons only pads, and change them often. It just seems that where every the period blood touches, burns.
Has anyone every had this?

I know that it will all be over with soon and I won't have to put up with it anymore, but I was just curious if anyone else experienced this weird burning.

Very weird Period....

Whenever I had any vaginal burning, it turned out to be a yeast infection and/or bladder infection. Burning is one of the symptoms of a yeast infection. I'd check with your dr. Menstruation, sperm, and birth control pills also can contribute to getting a yeast infection.

Found in the link......
"The presence or excess growth of yeast cells, bacteria, or viruses can cause a vaginal burning."

Very weird Period....

I don't know what might be causing your burning, but I do remember having heavy periods where my vagina was so sore I couldn't wear a tampon. The menstrual blood seemed to make things all very uncomfortable as it wasn't that way when my period ended. I have no idea what caused it.
