Should I keep my cervix?

I had to lose my cervix as it affected by endo. I had ovaries removed too. However, I can honestly say that it hasn't made a difference to sex for me or DH. I haven't had a problem with dryness either. I admit I've been very good at remembering pelvic floor exercises- not sure if that's makes a difference but I'm not taking any chances.

I'm a bit confused by some of these posts though- my dr said that one good thing about removing the cervix was not needing a smear test again. But some of you have been advised to continue with them. Why do drs differ so much?
