The time is mine

Hey there,
I have been visiting this site for months and just did not have the courage to put my business out there like this but now, I am ready.
On Friday, I met with my Dr. and she told me that I can no longer take the 800 mg of Ibuprofen. I had confessed to her that I had actually be taking 3,200 mg (4 a day) just to somewhat function. I must say that past few days have been KILLING ME, I say. lol. Whooo. It's like the early stages of labor pains. For every cramp I feel, I know that I am doing the right thing. So ladies, know that you are doing what works for you.
Because, this surgery will definitively work for me.
Surgery is on Wednesday. I can't wait.

Re: The time is mine

Did your doctor offer to give you something other than ibuprofen for the pain, then? I was in the same boat as you, taking 4000mg or more a day most days just to be able to function, and both my surgeon and my primary care provider said they would write me a script for pain meds once I had to stop taking the ibuprofen, if I needed it. Perhaps if you're in that much pain, it might be something worth looking in to.

I'm 2 weeks post-op LSH and, even with the recovery 'pains', I feel better than I have in 10 years! I'm glad I had a hysterectomy and wish I could've had it done sooner!

Wishing you all the best!!
