6 weeks post hysterectomy: returned to work, vaginal cuff pain... I think

I am 6 weeks post op. Went back to work today, office job. I sit most of the day. After about 3 hours I found that I couldnt get comfortable and it felt like my vaginal cuff was angry at me. Anyone else have this issue? Dr has me using coconut oil to make sure the pain isn't related to dryness. I'm wondering if maybe the muscles I'm that area are weak from laying/lounging for so long. Any advice?

Could you clarify on the coconut oil? Do you mean you're taking it orally, or that your doctor has told you to use it internally on the cuff? I have not heard of this!

Sorry about that, she has me using it internally as a vaginal moisturizer. It works really good. A little goes a long way.

I am also 6 weeks post op and I get a strange heavy sore feeling where my cuff is, after sitting or standing too long. My doctor says it's normal and the pain may start to get worse the more I move around. We've been "resting" everything for so long that once you start increasing your activity, you'll have pain in random places. Hopefully after awhile the pain gets better for you.

Okay, that's great to know. I've never heard of using coconut oil as a vaginal moisturizer before.

I'm approaching 5 months post op and still get it (slightly) once in a while. It goes away!
