TVH 2 weeks and 2 days post hysterectomy. still hurting.

I had my vaginal hysterectomy about 2 weeks ago. I am having sharp pains in lower abdomen. According to my Dr, I should be totally pain free. In fact, she recommended physical therapy a week and a half after my surgery when I had called her office to get a refill on pain meds. I am going to see her in 2 days. Is it normal to still be in pain at this point? And does anyone have tips for me on how I can effectively communicate to my Dr that I am still in pain, that Motrin isn't working? I just don't know what to do.

You can be in pain for 6 weeks while everything heals up.
It can be your internal stitches dissolving.
It is very normal to have pains during the next few weeks. Its just everything healing and also nerves waking up and such. And you can have discharge as this is happening for up to 8 weeks.
If you have heavy bleeding or foul discharge or fever call your doctor right away.
Strange how your doctor thinks you should be pain free, its major surgery, it takes time for your body to heal. Make sure to rest too.
