LAVH - How long is surgery ?

Hi Stiches,
I don't know for sure, since I do not go in until July, but my doc said about an hour and a half.

LAVH - How long is surgery ?

Mine took about 3 hours, then another 1 to 2 hours in recovery. Laproscopically takes longer than abdominal since they are working in a much smaller space, but you don't end up with all those stitches that come from an abdominal. Good luck! We'll be thinking of you!

LAVH - How long is surgery ?

I'm sure this, like everything, will depend on each person individually and also each surgeon's speed. I was told before surgery 1 to 3 hours. I had LAVH with both ovaries & tubes taken and nothing else done. No problems with the surgery or anything, and it still took about 3 hours. I feel great now...I'm sure you will too!

LAVH - How long is surgery ?

Hi!

I just had an LAVH last week. Mine took 2 hours -- no complications and left the ovaries. I was in the hospital 2 nights and three full days. Recovery is going well, but it is more exhausting than I expected! Really take it easy after your surgery! Feel free to send me a private message if you want more info!

Take Care-
