When does the pressure go away?

I'm at my ninth week. (LAVH, kept ovaries) I got the go ahead to go back to normal activities at six weeks, everything healed to the dr's liking. Told her then that I get a pressure feeling whenever the bowel or bladder is full and needs to be emptied or if I've been a bit over active, and her reply was that this is normal. So here's my question, which I forgot to ask my dr-how much longer will I experience this feeling? It's not unbearable just lets me know that there may be some more healing taking place. It's getting less each day which is good, but when have you other ladies who've gone through this, stopped having the pressure feeling? Just wondering so I don't get myself all worked up over it taking longer than normal! My recovery has been great with no complications up to this point. I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance that this too will soon end!

When does the pressure go away?

Hi beattlebug;

I had this feeling after my surgery too. I'm sorry I can't remember how long it lasted but, it does get better.

As long as your doctor has looked and told you everything is good and the feeling you are having is normal then try not to worry!

If it continues for a while, call your doctor again and ease your mind.

I do know from reading posts here that a lot of women feel this.

I wish you all the best! Take care!

's!
