I'm sick -- which dr to call?

Okay, took DD to dr Thursday (last day of our deductible year) because she had a sinus infection.

Woke up yesterday with a hideous sore throat. Ran a low fever all day (I guess b/c I can't find our thermometer) and had chills. Took some meds we had here from the last time I was sick (cough syrup w/pain reliever and Claritin). I snored so bad last night, I not only kept my husband up, but I woke myself up.

Woke up this morning feeling better except for huge tonsils, but now I'm starting to feel bad again -- body ache and head ache in addition to sore throat/swollen tonsils.

So, should I call my gyno or my family dr? Would the gyno want to know what meds I'm on? Would my family dr want my gyno to handle this?

Since your pretty sure this is not infection due to surgery. I would call your GP, and then on Tuesday let your GYN know, especially if your not feeling better. Sorry to hear your not feeling well.

I developed a bad earache and low grade fever 8 days after my surgery. I called my PCP and he ordered me antibiotics. I figured my ear didn't have anything to do with my hyster. I'm sure your gyno would treat you for it since you are still post surgery, but your family Dr probably would too. I figure the more Dr.s I have on my team the better.
