Swelly Belly with TVH with A&P repairs

I keep reading about swelly belly after a hyst. Does that apply to vaginal ones or only lap & abdominal?? & Will I need the swelly belly band??

I had a TVH and TVT. I have had barely any swelly belly. I still am able to wear "skinny jeans" with very little discomfort. However, that may not be the norm? Hopefully more people will reply after me and give you a good idea of what to expect. Good luck to you on your uopcoming surgery!

I had the LAVH & had the swell belly for 5 months. I would not have wanted anything touching my stomach but everyone is different.

I had TVH and A and P repairs and did have swelly belly for the first 2 or 3 weeks. Needed larger panties and pants to be comfortable. After that I gradually got back into all my clothes.

Thanks for the heads up! I think I will head out and get some bigger sweats and undies. Not that I really need an excuse to go shopping!!! That is what will be hard to stay away from when I am recovering. I guess I will shop online then.
