Bloating, back/legs, heartburn,bladder

I don’t know where to begin.
TAH is for suspected adenomyosis and my symptoms are getting worse and few newer ones.

Old symptoms:
Bleeding: 1 to 2 times a mth with very heavy , very painfull, large clots and spotting between periods
Bloating: getting worse-now look 5 mths pregnant (everthing feels pushed up under my rib cage)

Newer symptoms in the past 2 mths:
Meals: feel like I ate a 7 course meal after piece of toast and coffee
Heartburn: major heartburn after anything I eat
Back/leg pain: lower back pain is getting so bad its hard to walk ; front leg pain is also getting worse too
Bladder: now feels full all the time

I had ultrasounds and biopsy done almost 2 yrs ago and was too afraid to do anything back then. This past year has been so bad that i decided to go ahead with the TAH. According to the DR, no point in more tests because test will not show improvements, things only get worse.

I have been taking 1000mg of Naproxen which is helping a little to take the edge off the pain.

I'm very uncomfortable in my dress clothes. I need to drive alot with my job and today I just could not do it.

I guess my main questions are; should i call the DR office or just wait it out 5 more wks (which seems like a life time right now)? Can the DR really do anything at this point? Does anyone else have the above symptoms?

This Princess doesn't feel like a princess at all!

Hi there (((((stillhope)))))

I'm so very sorry that you are having such a rough go of it, having so much pain and discomfort, and still have 5 more weeks to wait--personally, if I were you and I were experiencing a change/worsening of symptoms, I would not hesitate to call my doc and see what can be done.

I too had adenomyosis, and had similar symptoms, minus the heartburn...I felt bloated and full, feeling so very full after even a light meal, had an enlarged abdomen and couldn't fit into my clothes anymore, and had the prolonged, heavy periods coming twice a month in the final few months prior to surgery. My bladder also felt pressured and full, and I had to go to the bathroom often. Ultimately my surgery was scheduled and performed all within a week, however, due ro right quadrant pain in late June--turns out my appendix was adhered to my pelvic region.

I alos had frequent and severe lower back/leg pain, but this was the result of ongoing & recurrent suspicious ovarian cystic masses--my doc says that these usually present as pelvic pain, not back pain, so my case was a bit odd I suppose. If you have not had an ultrasound in 2 years, I would wonder if your doc might want to do one, given these symptoms now, before surgery? Either way, I would call them for advice, as I can tell that you are extremely uncomfortable

Please know that we are all here for you, and please do keep us posted on how you are doing--take care, and I wish you the very best always.

Sincerely, Trish

Trishaloha,
Thank you for your advice kind thoughts and words. I did call the DR but office is closed until Nov 12th. I will just grin and bear it until my castle date arrives. What's another 5 wks? right?
