3-Month Progress

I was not going to post my progress because I see so many women have such a difficult time with their healing and I have had a "walk-in-the-park"; however, a friend who has had many follow-up surgeries told me she needs my kind of stories to know things can be good and get better. My surgery was Oct.14/10 and I returned to work on Oct 25th with the only restriction that I couldn't lift over 10# - my work is a mix of desk/retail so that was easy. I had a minor issue of brownish spotting for about 4 wks which was related to a few stitches coming out too soon but the healing occured on its own. I was at the OBGYN yesterday as I have a sharp stitch that flipped and is causing an issue for my dh. I was told that because I am close to menopause the vaginal membrane is thinning out so that may be why the stitch flipped. At this point we don't know if it is a 90-day disolving or a permanent. I will used a HRT Cream for 4 weeks and then may have to have another stitch put in to flatten the protuding one if it is a permanent stitch. Since Jan. 3rd I am back to training for the 10K run in April and so glad not to have to wear incontinence pads; and I have lost 5 pounds post-Christmas. Life is good - better even, and I hope my progress gives pre and post-op women some positive feelings.
