I am overwhelmed...

I am 48, have 2 large fibroids, one grapefruit size, the other tennis ball size plus a cyst on left ovary. My gyno has reccomended a hysterectomy, but I am going to a female gyno on Thursday for a second opinion. I have heavy periods, clots, I am anemic as well. My periods are sporadic, coming every 3 weeks or so. After I think my period has ended, a day later, I bleed pinkish for a few days, the it goes to brownish, mucousy long strands, then it stops. I have felt crampy today and am bleeding once again, it is red in color. I am at wit's end abotu now, I do not know what to do, live with all this or have a hysterectomy. Plus I have a yeast infection. Is that common with all my other symptoms????
Any comments or advice will be greatly appreciated.

I'm glad you're getting a second opinion, if for no other reason than to reassure you that whatever you decide to do is the right thing. Only you can decide on your quality of life and what you can put up with.

As for a yeast infection being part of your symptoms...it doesn't sound like it would be, but I have no medical training. You'll need to check that out with your doctor.
