new here

Hi everyone, I have been browsing this site for some time now. You are all the most caring, compassionate, open women. I am scheduled for a TAH 8/21. I'm a little anxious, but not nearly as much as before. I have been putting off this surgery for way too long, fibroids are now to large to be removed vaginally. Wishing everyone of you a good recovery.

scheduled for TAH, keeping ovaries hopefully.fibroids, uterine prolapse, pain, heavy bleeding/clotting,dysplasia

Good luck on your remaining 2 weeks from Monday pre op. Thinking of you and wishing you well as you prepare for your surgery.

Hi, I am also new here, I am also having a TAH Aug 23rd and I am nervous too, but reading all the information and encouragement here on this site helps, knowledge can help reduce anxiety. Be kind to yourself and have faith that all will go well on Monday

The worst part is the waiting, I too just kept reading and rereading this forum. All the ladies here are just the greatest and you will see all will be fine.. just remember take it ez before and after. God Bless!

Good Luck to you also, your scheduled just a week later than I am. I don't know about you but I am alternating between feeling nervous about the recovery at home and the just get it done and over with feeling.
I'm not stressing too much about the actual hospital experience

because I am a nurse and pretty much know what to expect I'm having my surgery at a sister hospital, and i'm praying that the old adage about what goes around, comes around, and i will be treated as well as i try to treat my patients.

Good luck Michelle...waiting is the worst! I'm now 2 weeks post op from TAH and it gets better every day. I'm not saying recovery isn't hard; it is. But I just keep thinking of the day I'm going to be back to my old self after all I've been through. Good luck and hugs to you! You will do fine!
