3 mo. After fibroid hysterectomy

What can I expect at 3 mo. Post op? Is it normal to have lots of irritability? Also have days where I can cry about anything. Still healing from surgery or a symptom of hormone in balance? Any advice is helpful

I'd guess hormone imbalance. Ovaries tend to be offline for a few weeks post-op. Keep a journal of symptoms so you can share with your doctor if you still notice no changes.

Re: 3 mo. After fibroid hysterectomy

My surgery was August 19th and I kept both ovaries and I have experienced some depression and irritability. I have been walking a lot and physically feel great but emotionally it is still hard.

thanks for the info. So good to hear from others what they have to deal with, I also do lots of walking and exercise, still have some back pain, (low), which I feel comes from having my large fibroid s for a long time (I didn't have Dr visit s at least 8 years ) so don't know how long I had them, but having this pain on top has really been trying, but I'm doing therapy so hope in the near future it will be gone. Praying that your recovery goes fast
