Colonoscopy scheduled

I had the appointment with the GI doctor for a consultation. He examined me -- heart, lungs, etc., abdomen. I am scheduled for early August. I promise to come back and report to you.

I lost my one younger brother (58) to lung cancer on June 9th and didn't want to schedule the test until I could have some time to grieve, etc. I also haven't told my family that I have the test scheduled. I will tell them after so they don't worry something is wrong. They know I have put it off and it will make them wonder why I decided to schedule the test now.

Re: Colonoscopy scheduled

I am sorry that I didn't come back here to let you all know everything was ok. I was lucky because I had not had a colonoscopy since 2001. I do have to go back in five years because of the family history, but he said everything was ok. I have had some other medical issues since then and kept forgetting to sign on here and let you all know my results. I am sorry that I worried you.
