discharge

Hi,
I'm phobic about discharge since the hysterectomy in March. I feel anxiety nearly everytime a wipe thinking I'm going to see bloody mucous like before the hysterectomy. Since the laporascopic surgery to get lymph nodes on April 5th, I FEEL discharge but never see anything. If its there, its totally clear. I asked the gyn-onc about it on my followup on May 1st. She said it was common for a awhile after surgery. Its been 6 weeks now and I still feel it a couple of times a day. But like I said, its clear or invisible or whatever. Or maybe in my head but I don't think so. Anyone identify?

Re: discharge

I think since the vagina secretes moisture that sounds pretty possible and to me sounds normal, which is what your GYN onc seems to be saying. (And certainly supercedes my opinion). I have the same fear so I'm totally with you on this one. Let's hope these fears lessen with time

Re: discharge

Hi, I think you need to trust your gyn/onc re this and try not to worry as much although of course this is difficult. At the same time I know you will advise your doctor re any changes; etc.
I'm hoping any discharge will end completely soonest so your worries really can be put to rest.

Re: discharge

Did you keep your ovaries? If you did, sometimes you can secrete clear discharge like with ovulation. Just a thought. I agree with everyone else, I think this is a normal process so don't let the fears get the best of you.
