Newbie: Unidentified solid mass-decision?

Hi all! I been reading a lot and this forum has been extremely helpful. After a routine sono, a solid mass was seen on my right not. I was sent to have CT and the results were somewhat inconclusive. There is a solid mass 6cm on my right side( not present 2 yrs ago) but it cannot be determined if it is an ovarian mass or a pedunculated leiomyoma. I also have a small second leiomyoma on my left side. I have PCOS diagnosed at 19yrs and two years ago had a biopsy for endometrial hyperplaysia which came back w/o atpia. My doctor wants to do a laperoscopy to see the mass and if it is on the ovary remove it. I can also opt to have the fibroid removed if that is what it is or a hysterectomy if I choose. I did not realize the pressure and occasional sharp pains I was feeling was possibly to a mass. I have not been able to sleep or lay on my right side for almost a year. My doctor feels it is necessary to at least go in an see what the mass is and I can decide what course of action I want. I am 42 and no longer want children. Part of me wants to be done with further surgeries, birth control pills and other worries and yet I understand that a hysterectomy is a huge decision. This will be my 3rd such surgery.
