Upcoming hysterectomy on 9/15 !

Im up for davinci hysterectomy on 9/15 if all goes well. There is a chance that may have to switch to abdominal. My uterus is measuring 30 weeks so im afraid the davinci wont work.is anyone elses uterus measuring that big? Im getting nervous!

If you are talking to your Dr., you might ask them what their conversion rate is. The % of DaVinci hyts that they convert to an abdominal surgery.

That being said...your Dr. sounds very well trained...since they can do the DaVinci method.

So try not to worry too much. In my pre op, my Mom told me...waiting for a surgery is the hardest part. Boy was she right !!! 😊

Welcome to the normal feeling that brought many of us here, I knew going in it would be abdominal, and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. The first day or two getting up and down, wasn't fun, but a tummy pillow REALLY helped! I slept a good bit the first 4-5 days and only took 1 1/2 pain pills the whole time and nothing OTC.

Which ever procedure, I hope it goes great and healing is fast!
(Take some time for a massage or fun before to help get your mind off it a little while)
