Stupid Question???

I went to my 6 wk. appt. and the nurse was asking all the usual questions about surgery then she asked me if I had started my period! I couldn't believe it you would think she would know better being a nurse and all I just told her I better not or something went wrong with surgery! Besides that the appt. went ok the exam was very painful especially when she was pushing on my stomach feeling for my overies. But everything seems to be healing fine. Before surgery I was told it would be 6 wks. recovery time now she says 2 more weeks is this normal?

Its normal. I was told 6 weeks hard recovery and at 6 weeks they added two more weeks. they said if your tender its beter to be safe. glad things are going good

I was cleared at 8.5 weeks.
When I ended up in ER with an open, infected incision the Resident Ob/Gyn asked if the bleeding could be menstrual!!! sheeesh

Yeah, that is kind of dumb to ask. I went to a GP on my lunch break because I thought I had a UTI and my gyn/surgeon's office was closed after 12pm on Friday...anyway, went in and told the NP about my hyst and she starts asking questions about meds and gets to the section of the page where is asks about BC. "Why is BC not applicable for you?" "I had a hysterectomy." "Oh yeah." Duh!!
