Bottom Aches

I am almost 2 weeks post op and my bottom seems to ache when I get up. Is anyone having that? Also how is everyone cleansing that are? The hospital gave me a peri bottle and when I use it my bottom burns? Is that normal?

As you had the total vaginal hysterectomy (TVH), do you know if your doctor did an episiotomy? Often with that incision a peri bottle is given for cleansing. Are you using warm water? The healing from an episiotomy can be painful as part of the healing process.

I would suggest touching base with your doctor and letting him/her know what you are feeling and what you might be able to do to ease the pain. S/he may have other suggestions as to why you ache and why there is burning.
