Pain in my right side when walking around or sitting

After my 2 week checkup after they took my stapples out when i got home I was coming up my steps and I hurt my right side going up them felt a very sharp pain in my side. So i took it easy and the pain is not as bad anymore but it hurts when I walk and hurts when I am sitting. I am not sure if I pulled something lose or if this is just normal to have a pain in one of my sides that still hurts. I am now 5 week post op. Any information would help. I see the doctor next week and will be discussing this with her. But I just wanted to know if anyone else is having this problem aswell or if I need to be worried that I pulled some stitches lose and should have said something to my docotor before now?

Pain in my right side when walking around or sitting

Hello finbitty1023,

I sure know what your talking about. You probably just moved the wrong way and pulled an already tender muscle or ligament. Try some ice on it and take your pain meds. I got out of bed wrong during my recovery and knew immediately that I pulled something, the pain from that alone lasted about four days. Like you, it hurt sitting or standing or just moving wrong. Also, right-sided pain is very common here. If you type that in the search bar you will find plenty of posts talking about it. If you notice any swelling, heat, or bruising in that particular area then I would be seen earlier.

I hope you feel better soon,
