no hrt prescribed

Total Hyster. 2.2.10. so one week into recovery. Doc said to make a post apt 4 weeks away, he did not prescribe any HRT. I have headaches everyday and have been going off the oxycodone to see if that would help, still have headaches. Do I need HRT now? Does menopause start overnight? I have minor hot flashes now as well, could be just surgery recovery

If you have hot flashes then you may benefit from hrt. I had hot flashes right after my surgery and some headaches. My doctor put me on the vivelle dot patch and it made all the difference for me. I had no hot flashes or headaches and began to sleep better as well.

Hopefully you and your doctor can agree on something that will help you feel better soon.

Did the take your ovaries? I ask, because a total is just uterus and cervix. If you have your ovaries you may not need HRT.
