LSH Incision questions

Hi Downy!....I also had the dermabond.....I looked right away..did not bother me...I had some clear oozing also..doc did not seemed concerned.....I do want to tell you, however, do not pick at the glue...mine took almost a month to come off on its own....my doc warned me not to pick and it was hard especially a few weeks after when ends started to lift off and start to peel..I wanted to pull the rest off.....of course I didn't listen and peeled a little piece off and wrong move!!! the glue came off with part of my scar/skin and it bled a little..that scared me enough not to peel them again.....

LSH Incision questions

I had a LAVH so my incisions are all really small but they are closed with Dermabond. I have had not oozing but my upper incision (left side nearly under the breast area) and the lower left incision have hurt the most and itched the most!

I have not had any problems looking at them - I am weird like that - watch all medical procedures and looked at my c-section incision alot.

I did have a middle of the night incision freak-out about 1 1/2 weeks post-op! During the night my upper incision was itchy so I went to scratch it and felt something "sticking out" (or at least I thought since I was half-asleep) - jolted awake and realised the thing "sticking out" was the edge of the scab starting to come off!

LSH Incision questions

Hello:

I too had a LSH on 12/28/07. My right incision and belly button incision look great and feel great. My left incision is still very painful. ALthough had a large hematoma pop-up under left incision after surgery. I still have it and had to go back to the DR on Friday, now it is infected and I am on a strong antibiotic. Hoping that this works I do not want the DR to open back up drain. Anyone else ever experienced this? The DR said the reason for the hematoma he thought .......was because they may have went through a large blood vessell. Who knows?????? All I know is it is very painful and slowing down the healing process. I go back to Dr tomorrow for a recheck. Wish me luck!!!!! I would like to get back into my regular clothes soon.
