Hysterectomy: December 15th, 2014

Surgery Type: LAVH

Ovaries: Kept 1 or both

Hysterectomy yesterday - still in hospital: catheter and packed with gauze

I had my surgery yesterday morning and am in the hospital. I asked to take the catheter out but they think I should wait until after breakfast and warned me they would have to unpack my vagina. Is this normal?

Yes its normal they took my packing out first and left it 2 hours before they removed the catheter in case there was any bleeding after the packing was removed neither hurt just felt a little bit funny when done
