Upcoming hysterectomy 4/11: What do I need to bring for an overnight stay, does everyone do a bowel cleanse
Can y'all give me some pointers on what to bring for an overnight stay and I'm curious if everyone has to do some sort of bowel cleanse before surgery.

Hi Tishbiv and welcome,
Here is a link to an article you may find helpful: Things To Pack for the Hospital
Definitely travel light and don't wear any jewelry or being valuables.
As for the bowel prep, not everyone must do one. It is your doctor's decision based upon your type of surgery and specific needs. I had to have a cleanse the day prior to surgery and was glad when that part of the prep was over.
Always follow your own doctor's instructions.
