Help!

I'm almost at my one week mark post-op. My surgery was July 3rd. I had a supracervical laparoscopic hysterectomy. My ovaries were saved. It's been a slow go but I guess my expectations were a little too high. I'm having a horrible time sleeping and still having pain when urinating which I now understand as being normal. Slight spotting just started which I had none of until just 2 days ago. The not sleeping thing is getting really old and I'm hoping that it ends soon. Just feeling all together really uncomfortable.

Re: Help!

Hang in there!!!! I am two weeks post op tomorrow and I have good days and bad. The bladder and bowels seem to be the most difficult for me. I have also gone back to work (too soon) but I didn't have a choice. I run my own business and if I don't "make the doughnuts", no one will. I have slight spotting too which started at about one week out. I get the "all together really uncomfortable" part. It hits me for a few hours, then I remember to take some tylenol ( ihave only been taking one dose a day now) and I feel better. Keep resting and take it easy!!! I am still not sleeping at night but its better....

Thank you so much! It's nice to know that this is "normal" and should improve with time. I know what you mean about work. I was planning on being out 3 weeks and I hope that plan still stands. Thanks again for the advice! I really appreciate it!

Re: Help!

pain when urinating can be an infection so be careful with that, any foul odor or fever i would go and get checked out
