I thought I was CRAZY

I thought I was the only person excited for a new lease on life. I have been going through these problems since I was 15 I am now 38. So this will truly be a relief. My doctor will be taking -- Ovaries (what I have left, lost pieces of it during one of my many surgeries), the uterus, fallopian tubes and the cervix. I do want to say, that after surgery may sure you get some pain meds and walk as much as you can, this really helps with recovery. I learned this with all of my other surgeries. I know my doctor said that i have so much scar tissue from past surgeries that he is going to clear that up and insert some plastic tubes that will not allow me to get more scar tissue after this surgery --what a blessing. He told me scar tissue is painful also --wow--didn't know that. I am still a women with or without them. I will still be me. Thanks for all the positive thoughts and well wishes.

I thought I was CRAZY

mrsmac I share your positive outlook. For me, the hyst is the best thing that could have happened. Only afterward did I realize how much those lousy parts were affecting my overall health and well-being. I do not miss them whatsoever.

I thought I was CRAZY

Thanks for the advice! I'm going to tell my anesthesiologist that I don't want to wake up either nauseus or in pain. (Hoping for the best, here!). Best wishes for your (hopefully!) last surgery. :-)

I thought I was CRAZY

Hey Mrsmac, we're practically neighbors! I live 1/2hr from Warwick & I work in Goshen!! What a small world. I am 38yrs old too, just had an LSH (kept ovaries/cervix) and am happy to be uterus free. I was nervous about going to surgery, getting anesthesia freaks me out, but everything went well. Good luck to you & speedy recovery afterwards. Keep in touch.
