Bladder/vaginal burning 2 weeks post op

I had my surgery 2 weeks ago today. Total laparoscopic hysterectomy and bilateral salpingectomy. I had a lot of adhesions also, mostly on my bladder. For 3 days after surgery my bladder felt fine, and ever since I have bladder spasms, urethral burning, and intermittent vaginal burning. The surgeon told me to douche with Betadine/water, and that helps alot for 2-3 days. Then it all returns. I dont' have a bladder infection. I'm wondering if I have vaginal dryness? I did NOT have my ovaries removed, but I know they can go to "sleep" for a while after surgery. I'm not having any other hormonal symptoms (moods, hot flashes, etc). Anybody else have this? Any advice? I really feel fine and could get back to normal activity if it weren't for this. Thanks!

Yes, I did experience that. I felt like I had a UTI, but did not. The spasms that I was experiencing were caused by vaginal dryness. I use an otc vaginal moisturizer to help control it. There are also prescription options available--vaginal estrogen inserts that are designed to be a very local form of hrt for the vaginal area only. Hope you find relief soon!
