PUTTING ON THE POUNDS

I had lost 5 pounds 1 week after my surgery in June 2003. 5 months later, I weigh more than before the surgery. With limitations with exercise, I have tried dieting and failed. I do not know what else to do and continue to find methods that will hopefully help me shed a few pounds. It is frustrating, especially like you said other women seem to be losing weight, I wonder what their secret is.

weight gain

Hello Ladies,
I went into my surgery at 170 and after surgery in the hospital was 183. After a couple weeks at home I went down to 169. I can say that I have limitations to and work very hard at taking off my weight. It isn't easy to lose right away when your body needs to heal, it is holding on to everything it can partly due to your body being in shock from the surgery. I am at 165 on good days now and just start everyday with a new start that I will do my best to eat right and exercise. I try to eat right but at times like a treat or 2. If you take it off slow it will stay off. I just try to stay positive and hope to lose more in the future.. I wish you ladies much luck and hope the pounds start shedding for you soon.
Best way to start out if walking. Plenty of water and Whole foods..

weight gain

Me again ,
I was thinking about your posts and can say I made changes in my daily meals. I no longer eat fried foods if at all possible. When eating out at fast food, I will get the grilled chicken with honey mustard. I eat salads, veggies , fruit, yogurt, lots of chicken and turkey. Don't get me wrong I at times have pizza but only with onions and mushrooms, sometimes cheating with bacon on rare occasions. To many carbs will do it to. My weakness if sweets , so that is my downfall, but I know that if I am not losing as fast as I want to , I am not helping when I eat the sweets or high fat and calorie things.. I hope this helps..

weight gain

I was just majorly stressing about this very thing. I'm a weight watchers lifetime member (lost 65 LBS) and am going to have to weigh in this week. I am dreading it to no end. I weighed 158 before surgery but haven't weighed myself since. I'm terrified of ballooning up again but know I have to eat well to help my body heal....sooo I've sort of just been eating what I've wanted (darned Halloween candy!) since I got my appetite back late last week. *sigh* I just hate the thought of fighting the weight battle yet again

weight gain

I have gained 10 lbs since my surgery 7 weeks ago. I drink lots of water, watch the carbs and walk every day. Is this due to the hormone patch (vivelle dot) or am I just a pig? Brenda
