Emotional Mess 3 weeks post SAH - ugh......

Hi Ladies,

Wow, what a mess I am! And, it just hit me out of the blue, too. My ab. SAH was on 8/27 and I've been back to work for a week now at a desk job with shorter hours and no problems.

My DH has been wonderful taking care of our 4 year old daughter, but I feel inadequate not being able to do everything for her yet. I just don't have the energy and its so frustrating. And, I finally just lost it last night. Now that the crying has started, it won't turn off! ugh...........

To make matters worse, my in-laws emailed us last night wanting to visit us next weekend AND stay at our house. Come on people, give me a break here! You are not helping by staying at our house because we now have to get the house ready for company and entertain you!!!!! My DH is going to try and keep them from coming. Wish me luck.

SOS, sorry to hear you're feeling blue. But I can relate to the in-law thing. My DH planned a one day fishing trip with his brother. His brother wanted to know if he should bring his wife to keep my company while they were gone. I politely said "no" as I didn't feel I would be good company. And I, like you, felt I would have to do some major cleaning. I just didn't feel like entertaining at this point. I know they meant well, but I need more time. I think we all have our ups and downs during our recovery. I know there are some days I feel wonderful and happy and some where I just feel like crying for no reason at all.
