Glad it's done

I had my hysterecmony in March. the day I went in my son had to go and get stiches he feel in the hospital. That night I had a very good nurse. When it was time for me to leave they kept on saying don't fall behind on your pills. Well my husband thought that he was doing the right thing. He wrote down every time he gave me a pill for pain. Well be the next day I was so sick, I started vomiting, headaches, chest pains, didn't sleep for 3 days. I finaully had enough and called my family DR he said stop taking the pain pills thats what is making me sick. After that I was much better. Still weak. Then after i went back for a check up in 1 week, he put me on some hormone pills that made a big difference. It's been 3 months and I feel good. Sex was good again, no more pain. YA But it seems like now I never want it any more. Is this from the hysterecomy? At first it was rought but soon as I stopped taking the pills i felt better.

Glad it's done

Hi

Glad you figured out what worked for you on what was making you sick. I cannot take some perscription pain meds either, they make me nauseated and get sick.

Sometimes your libido will fluctuate until your hormones are in balance. You had major surgery and this is a shock to the body in all kinds of ways. It can take a year for the body to get back to normal.

Hang in there and if you keep on having problems with it see your dr, he can help.

Glad things are better now! Did your son do OK with the stitches and everything? That kind of stuff always seems to happen at the worst possible time!? Carolyn
