What Would You Do??

I think you are wise to get 2nd opinion, possibly reschedule with a new doc. I had some very minor leaking bladder problems that I brought to my gyn's attention after reading about similar stuff on this site. He was sure the problem was my fibroids pushing on it but said I could check with a urologist if I wanted to. I did and learned my bladder was in early prolapse and this doc was surprised that I had no sneezing/coughing leak problems, just what he called "post-void dribbles", and said I should get a bladder sling done too. I gave him the date, place, and time of my surgery and who my gyn is.

Well I can vouch for those OR schedules...both docs thought the other was going to reserve the extra time and no one did until the day before, and I couldn't get more time. I had to choosed between cancelling completely or just getting the hyst. Since I had turned my life upside down (and other people had too) getting this worked out, I went ahead and had the hyst. Crossed my fingers that the gyn was right and I'd be ok. Post surgery, I thought it had, but it was apparently swelling that kept it from leaking cuz it's back. I plan to live with it for at least a year or so unless it gets worse, but will eventually have to have ANOTHER surgery. ::
