Starting 3rd week - Nausea!!

Hi everyone!

I've been reading all the posts I can and I now realize that the 3-4 week post op time is not a great time. That explains ALOT. I felt soooo awesome a few days last week, but then paid for it!

Now I am feeling super nauseous...even took 1/2 compazine to help. I read my med bottles and the premarin, ibuprofen 800mg. both said can cause upset stomach. I tried eating small meals before taking the meds(as directed on the labels), but I still feel puny!!

Has anyone else felt this way? I tried calling my Doc today but it was 3 minutes past 4:00 when I called and he of course wasn't answering. (ggrrrrr)

ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!

Funny, when I had my 2 c-sections, I was up and feeling awesome by the 2-3 week....silly me, I thought my TAH would be about the same!!

Starting 3rd week - Nausea!!

I too had bouts of nauseasness, and loss of appetite. I made myself eat small amounts of food that I felt would not upset my stomach. You are right, some women experiance more in the third week. It can be due to the anesthesia being out of our systems and our stitches are healing and can all just make us downright more uncomfortable. Certain meds can make you feel icky in your stomach too. I am not sure about premarin as I don't use it, but I do know that the IBU 800 eats at your stomach. That's what the Dr was giving me for my back problem, and I was on three a day for the last year. I finally had to stop taking it as it was causing an ulcer. Make sure that you are drinking plenty of fluids and never take that med on an empty stomach. The flu is going around too. You might want to call your Dr if you are feeling really crummy. It's always better to ask and know than to sit and worry. Hugz and hope you feel better.
