Is it possible to do something to hurt yourself at week5\6?

I had a very easy recovery from LSH w\ BSO. I was cleared to do anything and everything at the beginning of this week (week 5). I have been going to the gym since week 3. I teach a cycling class once a week. I really push myself hard when I teach. I taught my class last night and felt ok, a little pain here and there. I went to work for the first time today and felt ok again, little pain here and there. I have a desk job, so I didn't do anything physical. I decided to take another cycling class this evening. I didn't push myself as hard, but about 45 min into the class, I felt a sharp pain on my left side near one of the incisions, i kept feeling the pain, so i backed off. This is about 2 hours later and i still can feel pain. So, my question is could I have done something or is the pain to be expected? I really haven't experienced much pain, so this pain surprised me. thanks for your comments.

Re: Is it possible to do something to hurt yourself at week5\6?

At my 6 week post op my doctor cleared me for activities " as tolerated" . She told me that meant listening to my body very carefully and stopping any activity that caused any soreness. She told me it was important to take it easy and slowly ease back into things as tolerated. She said it takes about 6 months to a year to completely heal.I would call your doctor and report the cycling and the new pain. I hope your feeling better soon!
