Keloid scarring after cervex removal?

I have been told that my cervix should come out, but I have concerns about the amount of scarring that would occur. I get keloids (large raised scars that stay tender seemingly forever) and I'm worried: what if I get them in the place my cervix was removed from? No sex life? I had two episiotomys and both made keloid scars, both times sex was uncomfortable for a long time. Has anyone else had this problem?

I'd discuss this with your doctor. There are some things they can do to help prevent adhesions, which are not keloids of course, but maybe there is something similar.

Definitely question this with your doctor and make sure s/he is aware of your condition. Maybe also discuss it with a dermotologist...perhaps they can consult. I have a friend who gets keloids and I know how frustrating they can be.

Good luck with it...let us know what happens.
