Upcoming hysterectomy 4/21: Worried about recovery and taking care of babies

Hello,
I have my surgery date coming up on Thursday. I have 3 children
Ages 9,3 and 5 months old. I am just wondering if anyone has any tips to offer on how they were able to recover while still taking care of their young children. I have my mother in law coming to help for the first week but after that I will pretty much be on my own during the day as my husband cannot get out of work. Any tips would be helpful! Thank you.

You will definitely need help with your little ones. Is there anyone else who can step in after your MIL goes home? Maybe a neighbor, friend, babysitter, child care, etc. Do you belong to a church?

Keep in mind you will have lifting restrictions - typically 10 lbs for six weeks and 20 lbst for eight weeks. You will also be VERY TIRED, and potentially quite sore. Here is an article that may provide information: Recovering from Hysterectomy with Small Children.
