Question re sex at 6 weeks

I am 6 weeks, 2 days post-op (feeling *much* better since last week-thought it would never happen). I have the flu, and had to reschedule my 6 weeks post-op visit until next week. My DH, of course, says "6 weeks! Yippee! Now we can have $ex!" Question: can I have sex after 6 weeks w/out doctor's internal exam? (Not that I feel like it, with the flu, but DH was *wonderful* for the last 6 weeks...feel like this is his reward.) Anyone have an opinion on this? Thanks, ladies.

I just had my 6 week check up and was told that I needed to wait at least 2 more weeks because my cervical cuff (I don't know if that is the right term for it) hasn't closed yet. What a total dissapointment.

Talk to your doc, and get his okay before resuming sexual activity. Its important that he gives the *Go Ahead* and when you are cleared for sex, Have fun, and be patient with each other....
