Swelly belly is heavy and hard & keloid scars

I'm sure this is just part of the healing process but I wanted to run it by the sisters.

My swelly belly (partly from being fluffy!!) feels like there's a brick in there ... both in weight and in feeling. It's not HARD, but it's full? maybe that's the word. And sore. My belly's not as jelly as it was, it's more full and heavy when I walk around sometimes. I walk holding my belly like I'm pregnant (and I've never been pregnant!!!)

Also, I get keloid scars on the outside from overhealing, I wonder what kind of "damage" goes on inside ... will my inside incisions overheal as well? Just curious.

Thanks ladies!

Well, I don't know what happens on the inside, although from my C-sections 20 years ago, I had overgrown scar tissues that had to be surgically removed during my TAH/BSO.

Your heavy full feeling is probably just swelling from healing tissues, but if it concerns you, please call your doc to be sure.

I wish you well and please keep us posted. I would love to hear an update.

I too have the heavy feeling in my belly. I told my husband that I felt like I was carrying around a large watermelon. It is getting better as time goes on but I did mention it to the dr. As I am moving on in the healing process I feel better in the morning with less swelling. Depending on what I do (being on my feet too much) the swelling gets worse toward evening. I have to listen to my body and call it quits for the day. Follow up with your dr. just to make sure things are ok.
