Pre-Op Testing

Anyone know which type of test are done Pre-Op for SAH?

It all has to do with your doc and anesthesiologist's preferences. Some of us have blood drawn, and they check for things like anemia. Some have to give a urine sample. Some have a chest X-ray. Some have an EKG done.

Same goes for the pre-op prep. Some have to do a full bowel prep, some just an enema, some go on liquid diet for a period of time, some do nothing. The important thing there is to do exactly what your doctor instructs, because you certainly don't want to deal him a "surprise" while you're on the table and can't warn him.
